Today, on 28th March, 2013, I received a call from the no. 01165990127 and a female asked to speak to my father for some product or so. I said that was not possible and she was not suppose to have call me since my no. is registered with DND. In reply, instead of apologizing and hanging up, she yelled "Shut Up" and banged the phone.
I find this absurd. I was politely telling/informing her (while she should have checked the DND list for my no., before calling me), she misbehaves with me & ends the call. As I have caller id, I tried calling back but I hear the announcement that this is an invalid no. I searched online but only discovered that this was a Delhi No. and the LANDLINE PHONE OPERATOR for this no. is Tata Indicom. This is really frustrating. This lady, the company, the owner of this no. has my land line no. hence my entire address. But I have no information about them nor internet has any information on them. They can put any harm to me while I cannot even complaint about them. On DND complaint no., we need to inform what product was being promoted while I am not clear about that. How can the govt. allow companies/people to call from unlisted/unregistered no. for telemarketing, while the receiver cannot even call back or complaint about them? This is breach of privacy & even security. Why is that only MTNL has online directory and reverse phone no. facility while private operators like Tata Indicom, Airtel, Vodafone etc. don't have any such facility?
Because of this, owner companies like this one that called me today, are able to take advantage, harass public and disappear because they know, they cannot be traced or contacted back. I want to have some information on this company so that least I can do is complaint about them on DND.
